Ricky So, CIS, RFP®

Mr. Ricky So, CIS, RFP® has 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. He is currently an Independent Financial Adviser at Rampver Strategic Advisors and is the Chief Knowledge Officer for Investment Planning of Wealth Management Center for Communications and Research, Inc.  Prior to this, he held senior management positions in various investment and commodities firms, the last of which was as Head of Training of one of the Philippine’s top asset management companies and was once as a portfolio manager.

Since the early 90’s, Ricky has been exposed to the international market on futures and foreign exchange and has dabbled in the local stock market. He started learning about the US stock market in early 2000, and has been investing in the US markets since 2008.

Ricky is very active in the financial services community, using his expertise in training financial service professionals. Accentuating this endeavor, he has co-authored a book “Dare to Journey – The Path to Meaningful Wealth with a best-selling author Atty. Angelo Cabera (Thy Will Be Done) and also with Aristides Merida Jr.  He is an active Training Faculty for the RFP Philippines and lectures Portfolio Management for AIM-EXCELL Strategic Investment Management Program. He lectures Technical Analysis, Managing Equity Portfolio, and Global Investing for various learning organizations as well. Currently, he conducts certification course for Associate Financial Planner (AFP®) and facilitates a “real” investment club focusing on Philippine equities. He is also a long time Lecturer at the Investment Company Representative Certification Seminar.

Ricky finished his grade school and secondary education as Valedictorian at the Divine Word Academy of Dagupan.  He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree at the Lyceum Northwestern University with Distinction.  He pursued continuing education at the Ateneo Graduate School of Business and is a SEC Certified Investment Solicitor (CIS) and a Registered Financial Planner (RFP®).

    hi mr. so (ang pormal di po ba ? hahaha)….we had so much fun listening to you at the financial forum last may 4 but it’s the bits & pieces of your expertise we learned a lot from. I commend all you guys at RFP because i can see you putting out your hearts into what your doing. I wanted to be an advocate of financial literacy in our country & i started it in our own home…i will open na po a stock account for my high school cousin…any online stock broker po that you can suggest? and i hope to see your scheds if ever you’ll conduct any seminars…thanks po!
